Pretty stuff

...concocting a very special batch

We hiked again, but no elk sheds to be found. We were in some dense forest (on a sweet elk trail) and it was sooo GORGEOUS; so serenely beautiful. As soon as it warms up a bit (it's 37 as I'm typing this) the sun will come out and UP will pop the mushrooms -- so that will be our next hiking treasure hunt. The cool thing is where we were seemed like primo conditions for fungi. Yeah!

Spent yesterday afternoon cleaning and organizing the craft room and it is nice now! Today I'll take the vacuum in and get the spider webs, shake the blankets & pillows from the comfy couch, then cozy up maybe with a book (there's a good reading light there). I started The Pilot's Wife, but not sure I'll continue. It's pretty sad and I enjoy  happy much more.

By the way, I called Mom yesterday, and she was so funny & upbeat. Thanks so much for keeping her in your thoughts.

Going to make some crunchy caramel snacks today for Geo. Holly & Ben are coming Monday, so it will be very fun getting ready for them.

Have a fabulous, safe weekend - love & hugs to you all.
